Wrapping Tissue Paper Ideas

In this article, we will look at wrapping tissue paper ideas. There are a lot of ways you can turn a plain piece of tissue paper in to a sparkling and beautiful piece of wrapping paper with a little help from some common craft store items that won’t break your budget.

You may have also noticed that many odd shaped items are hard to wrap with traditional wrapping paper. This is another place that wrapping tissue paper can come in handy. Have you ever tried to wrap a large glass candle? If you have then you know that using regular store bought wrapping paper spells disaster. The paper usually rips and if you are lucky, enough that it does not you have one oddly wrapped gift that is very unattractive!

Let us start with some ideas to spruce up that tissue paper. First tissue paper comes is all sorts of colors but not every color or every shade of a color. That is where the white paper comes in handy you basically have a blank slate that you can turn into any color or multiple colors that you want to with some paint, colored pencils, markers, and crayons.

You may also want to pick up some glitter in assorted colors, small beads, stamps, stickers, curling ribbon in assorted colors, and small, medium and large size bows.

Once you have all the supplies that you need and want your list of decorating ideas for the tissue paper is not limited to the above use your imagination to create one of a kind wrapping paper.

Of course, the first thing you need to do is select a color(s) or create colors using the white tissue paper. Once you have done that, you will need to decide if you want a lot of decorations on the wrapping paper or just a few. If you are wrapping a square box then you can safely add you decorations before you wrap the item. If you are wrapping an odd shaped gift then you may want to secure your gift in the tissue paper before decorating it. This will allow you to place the decorations where you want them. You wouldn’t want to end up with only half of a kitten or puppies face from the sticker you used.

You can use the curling ribbon as a final touch decoration if the gift has a “neck” or is square. You can also top it off with a bow any place on the gift. Ideally, if the gift is round, the top would look best and keep the bow from being smashed. 

It is really a lot of fun to create your own wrapping tissue paper for gifts it allows you to match the paper to the recipients likes which, makes the gift all the more special!
